We ran Alpha from May to July 2024

Alpha is a series of group conversations that freely explore the basics of the Christian faith. At each Alpha session we watch an episode on a question of faith, and then have a chance to share thoughts and hear what others think.

The Mayfield Passion Play

Easter 2024

We took part with the other Churches and Wateryard Theatre Group in bringing the story of the Passion of Jesus onto the streets of Mayfield. Some 350 people came to see this powerful expression of love and sacrifice. And we were blessed with a lovely day!

Church Away Day Sept 2023

We had a beautiful sunny day for a day of fellowship, worship, teaching and reflection at the peaceful Crowhurst Christian Healing Centre. It was a privilege to be joined by Henry George and Ben Trigg from Ichthus Christian Fellowship who led the day.

In Nov 2022 we hosted the

Big Quiz Night

to raise money for Tearfund and have

some fun!

Our 60 quizzers joined a total of 12,000 quizzers spread across hundreds of Churches in the UK. We raised £626, contributing to a nationwide total of £43,000!

Afternoon Tea with our neighbours

August 2022

We had a beautiful day, enjoyed a lovely relaxed time with many of our neighbours, and indulged in some excellent scones, cake and tea.

We also hosted local Ukrainian families at a barbecue on the patio, and had another barbecue for all our "Causeway" friends with learning disabilities.

Good weather, great conversation, beautiful place, excellent lunch, a few festive hats...

Lantern making

We enjoyed a very happy winter afternoon of making lanterns from willow and wet-strength tissue. Most lanterns were complete as dusk fell, and we could enjoy the glow of safety lights from inside the creations!

November 2019

May Fair 2019 We had many children come and make a wooden spoon figure to put in our village scene, and many balloons bobbed about the fair. Thanks to everyone who came along to the stall and chatted.

Plan for refurbishment

The refurbishment completed in 2021, and is rather more open plan than we initially envisaged. Here are the early plans from back in 2018. We are so grateful to Eileen Honeysett, whose legacy enabled us to transform the Church in this way. Click on the picture to see the plan.
